Service / Ownership Context

These pedals are fully serviceable thanks to Renthal’s axle system and sealed bearing layout. Tension should be set before first ride and checked periodically. Bearings and bushings are designed for longevity but benefit from routine cleaning, especially in wet or muddy environments.

Fit & Use Signals

  • Good Fit: Trail riders, enduro riders, aggressive XC, riders wanting SPD compatibility with a larger platform.
  • Not A Fit: Road bikes, gravel race setups, or riders looking for ultralight XC pedals.
Feels more planted than small XC SPD pedals. Wide body gives support when unclipped in corners. Entry is easy once tension is dialed. Common mistake is leaving tension too tight for first rides. Triple bearing setup holds up well, but mud riders should service yearly. What riders love: platform feel + SPD familiarity. What fails first: cleats before pedals. Heavier than race pedals — built for abuse. Good upgrade from basic SPD pedals for trail/enduro bikes. Axle system makes bearing service straightforward compared to many pedals.

Easy Read with good case studies!!
Format: Paperback
I had to purchase this for my Advanced Pathophysiology class in my Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. It is very easy to understand and have pretty good case studies. I like that the CD that accompanies the book goes into some detail in explaining the cases further and the disease processes without giving you the answers to the questions. It stimulates one to think!! Once this class is over I will go back from time to time to review!!

Helpful
Format: Paperback
This is a nice compliment to other classroom instruction materials. I am teaching an advanced pathophysiology course in a nurse practitioner program. This book is very helpful for students to put together the concepts of patho with the clinical setting. Will use these for in-class group assignments. Case-studies are thorough and offer a variety of different disease processes to choose from. It certainly does not offer a case study for every possible disease or clinical scenario, but does cover most major areas and enough variety in my opinion. Should be helpful in reinforcing the clinical significance of some difficult to understand concepts. I would recommend this text to course instructors.
